what a jackass...there are only like 2 places yet to be nerfed...Can you people Keep this crap to yourselves..why must you tell everyone else about it. Besides the damn bots haning out at the city...constantly spammin meaningless jabber. People like you with nothing else to do but post the last few remaining spots left. How annoying Hey dont tell people about UW also...lol they are already nerfed it to hell...lol there is nothing else to farm at. UW doesnt even drop max weapons...but you get an ecto once out of ever ten trips to it...wooo F'ing hoo!!1

You are the jackass. He posted this because he is a cool guy, not a greedy SOB like you. This is just a game, why are you so working up about getting fake money in a game? Lighten up, it's not like ANet doesn't know all the farming places anyways.

Do you really think ANet wouldn't notice? I mean, there are 100 people constantly running out of Riverside Province, ANet isn't blind you know? And if they're planning on nerfing this it wont be because of someone like me posting the spot. I did this because I wanted to help you guys, but negative reactions like yours stops me from posting things like this, but hey, if you don't want help, see for yourself.

All I know is that until posts started showing up on forums there were no fixing exploits updates. I got the game the first week of June and withina few weeks had found some sweet spots. They were sweet for a long time. But all of a sudden update after update came rolling in.

There also wouldn't be hundreds of guys running from spots if people didn't give them a walkthrough blueprint of the EXACT build and set up to use to take advantage.

It isn't helping anyone. Definately not the newcomers, because when they get there the place is useless. UW doesn't even drop max stuff these days. How is that possible? Or even good for the game? I have found dozens of 10-24 storm and eternal bows, I just salvage them for wood or sell them to the trader if they are precious. Even the fell blades you might get are trash 14-21 with 12 req. No matter how hot looking they are people aren't going to want that trash.

At least when finding items was good, the items were of good quality, not second rate garbage that guys are trying to get 30-50K for these days. The guys that first started doing it actuallly found the quality sruff, but now people have to settle for what they can get because the quality isn't there anymore.

Not entirely true. The tengu north of fishermans were largley unknown to many and they got nerfed just as hard as everything else.

I never farmed these guys before so I thought I would give it a shot. I decided to use an E/Mo instead and create my own build. I came up with one I liked.

Attributes
12 points in Smiting
12 points in Water
The rest can go where ever

Skills
Symbol of Wrath
Balthazar's Aura
Balthazar's Spirit
Armor of Mist
Mist Form {Elite}
(3 water/whatever AOE spells, I keep changing to find ones I like but it doesn't really matter what)

I use Armor of Mist to run past the initial group of Mergoyles and Skales. For the Tengu I just slap on Mist Form and blast them to death. I never take any damage. In just 30 minutes of messing around I already unlocked many runes I never knew I hadn't unlocked. All in all I find this a fun place to farm.

CAN anybody tell me, is this possible with a necro/monk? I've tried tengus but I find that its very difficult. Is the key having very low health?

It should be possible with low life and Aura of the Lich. Never tried it though..

This is what I thought, however won't aura of the Lich reduce healing or does it only effect direct healing and not healing wind because its a DOT spell. Also as a necro, its not possible to maximise protection, will this cause a problem?

No, it doesn't affect DOT spells.

w/mo can do it in his sleep:

healing hands, watch yourself, shielding hands, zealots, balths aura, balths spirit, orison, sprint

stuff that helps: collector shield with +health and -dmg in stance
absorbtion
glad armor / energy sword / + enchant upgrade

method: spirit, zealot, sprint past the first group of mesmer/necros, ignore DoTs. Lure the first group from the left to the group to the right. Wether there are gargoyles or not does not matter. hit healing hands, and do watch yourself, aura and orison as they become aviable. alternate between them till HH runs out, then hit shielding hands and sprint. usually they are all dead before aura recharges again

1/2 right. I've been experimenting w/ a W/N aura of lich build, combining w/ Dark Aura (mobs take damage every time you sacrifice) and Dark Pact (sacrifice and deal damage). Unfortunately, a W primary doesn't work well b/c of a lack of total energy (20ish) and energy regen (+2). And it's tough to rely on healing sig to self heal (low energy means I can't afford to do vampiric gaze/touch). But a N/Mo or a Mo/N should work fine with this build.

Here's what I would do as an experimental N/Mo solo build:

Aura of Lich
Dark Aura
Dark Pact
protective spirit
essence bond
balth spirit
zealot fire
reversal of fortune

The key to this build is to take advantage of Lich---reduce damage to you w/ protective spirit (pro bond is too expensive, energy wise, b/c you can't reduce it down to 1 energy per hit with a Necro) and reduce amount of life sacrificed w/ dark pact/aura. reversal of fortune is your healing spell, and triggers the zealot fire.

If anyone decides to try it out, plz let me know how it works out.
